Heroin Addiction: A new study claims that CBD could used to treat opioid addiction, reducing cravings and anxiety levels. Lead author Yasmin Hurd says quote the intense craving is what drives the drug use.

If you can have the medications that can dampen that craving, that can greatly reduce the chance of relapse and overdose risk.

Available medications for heroin addiction act similarly, but public health experts say there have obstacles to receiving them. Because they highly regulated and treatment with them can require frequent visits to your doctor’s office.
