A New Leaf in Cannabis Commerce: Kevin Nafte’s Strategic Move to Lyphe Australia

Kevin Nafte, a seasoned entrepreneur in the cannabis industry, has taken on a new challenge as the general manager of Lyphe Australia’s wholesale division. His mission is clear: to steer the division toward profitability within this fiscal year. Nafte’s relocation from Uruguay, where he founded the wellness brand YVY Life, significantly shifted his career trajectory.

Nafte’s expertise in the cannabis lifestyle and wellness sector is expected to inject a fresh perspective into Lyphe Australia’s operations. His appointment follows the departure of Tracey Loton, the former managing director, who left to establish her consultancy.

Building on Solid Foundations

Lyphe Australia, despite the turbulence experienced by its UK parent company, continues to operate under the guidance of founding investor George Scorsis. Nafte’s role will encompass streamlining processes and expanding the supply chain to ensure continuity and efficiency.

The company’s two brands, Aelleve and Wild Flower, are poised for growth, with Nafte at the helm. He plans to introduce competitively priced products and innovative offerings like high-THC vape products and, potentially, pastilles and gummies.

A Vision for Sustainable Growth

Nafte’s strategy revolves around long-term, sustainable growth and meticulous cost control. He builds commercial partnerships and fosters relationships with prescribers, leveraging his international network to explore new sourcing opportunities.

The focus on lean operations and product diversification is designed to position Lyphe Australia as a competitive player in the global cannabis market.
