Kadamba Transport: Those found utilizing tobacco on any of the Kadamba transport remains across the state should pay a fine of Rs 200. The Kadamba Transport Corporation Ltd (KTC) has shown ‘No Tobacco Zone’ signage at all conspicuous spots of its transport stands which likewise has a complementary number for those looking for a direction to stop the expansion.
“By proclaiming the transport remains as ‘No Tobacco Zones’, the KTC would satisfy its social obligation of safeguarding the travelers, drivers, guides and other staff from the mischief brought about by tobacco to wellbeing and the climate,” said Roland Martins, organizer, Goa customer activity organization (Goacan).
The Goacan, on the event of World No Tobacco Day on May 31, had required each KTC-overseen transport stand to be proclaimed as a ‘No Tobacco Zone’.
