Kadamba Transport Makes its Bus Stands “No Tobacco Zones”

Kadamba Transport: Those found utilizing tobacco on any of the Kadamba transport remains across the state should pay a fine of Rs 200. The Kadamba Transport Corporation Ltd (KTC) has shown ‘No Tobacco Zone’ signage at all conspicuous spots of its transport stands which likewise has a complementary number for those looking for a direction to stop the expansion.

“By proclaiming the transport remains as ‘No Tobacco Zones’, the KTC would satisfy its social obligation of safeguarding the travelers, drivers, guides and other staff from the mischief brought about by tobacco to wellbeing and the climate,” said Roland Martins, organizer, Goa customer activity organization (Goacan).

Kadamba Transport

The Goacan, on the event of World No Tobacco Day on May 31, had required each KTC-overseen transport stand to be proclaimed as a ‘No Tobacco Zone’. They had suggested that inside a time of one month, the partnership should guarantee that no tobacco items are consumed or sold inside the purview of all the transport remains in Goa.
All booths at transport stands selling tobacco items will be encouraged to end tasks.

Duplicates of the Goacan letter were shipped off to the main secretary, wellbeing and transport secretaries, individual locale justices of North and South Goa, chief general of police, overseers of wellbeing, transport, and common supplies, and buyer undertakings.
