One address, read by people
Everything at MMJ GAZETTE runs through a single inbox: support@mmjgazette.com. We are a small editorial team and we would rather read one inbox carefully than triage six badly. A subject line that says what the message is about (“Correction:”, “Tip:”, “Advertising:”, “Privacy request:”) gets it to the right person faster.
News tips
We welcome tips about medical cannabis programs, research, regulation, and the industry: a rule change that has not been reported, a recall you were affected by, a study worth attention, a licensing decision with a story behind it. Include links or documents where you have them, and tell us how you know what you know. We verify tips independently before publishing anything, so material we cannot check may not run, but everything sent in good faith gets read.
If your tip involves your own medical situation, share only what you are comfortable sharing. We treat messages from patients as confidential by default, we do not publish anyone’s health information without explicit permission, and we will not name you as a source without your agreement. Our editorial standards cover this in full.
Corrections
If we got something wrong, tell us: the article link, the sentence at issue, and what you believe is accurate, with a source if you have one. Errors touching medical claims, dosages, or the legal status of cannabis in a jurisdiction are reviewed the same working day whenever possible. The full process is in our corrections policy.
What we cannot help with
Some requests we must decline, and it is kinder to say so here than in a reply days later.
- Medical questions. We cannot tell you whether cannabis is right for your condition, what product or dose to use, or whether it interacts with your medication. Nobody here is your physician, and answering by email would be practicing medicine without knowing you. Please talk to a licensed clinician. Our disclaimer explains why this line is absolute.
- Legal or eligibility questions. Whether you qualify for a program, and what is legal where you live, are questions for the program authority in your jurisdiction or a lawyer licensed there.
- Buying cannabis. We do not sell, dispense, source, or broker cannabis or any related product, and we cannot connect you with anyone who does.
- Medical records. Please do not send us medical records, physician certifications, or program registration documents unless we have specifically asked for them in the course of reporting a story you are part of.
Advertising and partnerships
Commercial inquiries go to the same address with “Advertising” in the subject line. Read Advertise With Us first; it explains what we accept, what we refuse, and how sponsored material is labeled and kept apart from editorial coverage.
Privacy and copyright
Requests about your personal data are handled under our privacy policy; put “Privacy request” in the subject line. Copyright complaints follow the procedure in our DMCA and copyright policy, which lists what a valid notice must contain.
Response times
We aim to acknowledge messages within two working days and to resolve correction reports quickly, with safety-relevant errors treated as urgent. Tips may take longer, because verification takes as long as it takes. If something is time-sensitive, say so in the subject line and we will do our best.
